What it does
Paste your game server log above or drop the file into the box, then save it. You get a short link to send to your team, an addon developer or support. The log is analyzed at the same time: the problems it finds are listed above the log, and for Garry's Mod they name the addon that throws the error. Free, no account needed.
What the analyzer picks up
- Lua errors with their stack trace, traced to the addon, workshop addon or gamemode
- Missing files (“Couldn't include file”) and net messages that were never registered
- Workshop download failures, missing models and materials
- Network overflows, the entity limit, lag and crashes (segfault, out of memory)
- Map changes, players, and kicks and bans from ULX, SAM and FAdmin
- Minecraft and Rust: out of memory, “Can't keep up”, plugin and mod errors, wrong Java version
Privacy
Your players' IP addresses, Steam IDs, e-mail addresses and credentials are masked before anything is stored, and every log is deleted after 30 days.
Questions
- How do I share a GMod server log?
- Copy the console output or open the log file, paste it above and hit Save. Then share the link from the address bar. Nexthosting customers can skip that: click “Share log” in the server console.
- Where do I find my server's log?
- Garry's Mod only writes the console to disk when the server runs with -condebug (garrysmod/console.log) or with logging switched on (garrysmod/logs). Often the quickest way is to copy the output straight from the console in your panel.
- Who can see my log?
- Only people who have the link. Shared logs are not listed anywhere and are kept out of search engines. Whoever saved a log can delete it again from the same browser.
- How long is a log kept?
- 30 days, or up to 90 days if it is opened often. After that it is deleted for good.
- Is there a size limit?
- 2 MB or 25,000 lines. Larger logs are cut, keeping the end, where the crash usually is.
